Christmas Eve with Nana & Pawpaw ~

Nana & Pawpaw got to GA late yesterday! We have been busy eating lots of good food and watching our favorite Christmas movies.  Nana made homemade Christmas cookies with the kids this morning...complete with homemace icing! They had a BLAST!!!
We decided that even though they would be here on Christmas day, we would go ahead and open presents on Christmas Eve ~ Dalton also had gifts for each of the kids from him...
They were SO excited to be opening presents!!!
Dalton gave Mary Dalton another Pandora with "MD" charms...when the one he gave her last years shows back up...we can add the charms to it and give the extra one to Susan-Laine! Mary Dalton was SO SO SO excited to have another one....
Hands Down.
Best. Daddy. Ever.
Jackson wasn't quite sure what Dalton got him and he was hoping it wasn't clothes! ;)
When he opened it, he saw a belt first...and he loved it...
but he loved what else was in the box even more...
A REAL custom made knife and sheath for his belt...
one like his Daddy has.
I am PRAYING all of his fingers stay attached!!!
After gifts from Daddy came gifts from Nana & Pawpaw!
MD spied this purse while we were in Natchez and wanted it SO SO SO bad!!!
Nana bought it "undercover" and needless to say Priss was THRILLED when she opened it!!!
Jackson got a hatchet that also serves as a multi-tool...
again...
I am just praying for no injuries! ;)
These "big" boy items send me into utter panic!!!
Loving on Pawpaw for the cool gift...
and see all that money on the ground?!?!
Nana rigged up a box with a "pull me" tag...and they pulled...and pulled...and pulled...and pulled some more....and got LOTS of spending money!!! They were beyond excited!!! I have a cute video to upload later this week! I know that will be one of those Christmas memories that they talk about for years and share with their children one day!!!
Tonight, we headed to Jeb & Patti's for our annual Christmas Eve party/dinner...
The kids started a "tradition" when they were 2 and 3 that they wore their PJ's to the party ~
and somehow it stuck!
We came home to TRY to unwind them and get them ready for Jolly Old St. Nick!!! They both left notes for Santa and Jackson's said,
"Just always remember the real meaning, accepting Jesus and why He came."
Precious, baby boy, he is...melts my heart....
