ahhhh...FRIDAY!!

This has been THE longest week...I am glad it is Friday! :) I came home today and started cleaning the downstairs and ironed all our clothes. That is the best feeling to have all my house work and laundry done at once! It won't last long, but I want tomorrow to finish my john grisham book and pack for disney!

Tonight, the kids were watching a video and wanted a snack. I rarely let them eat in the den, but put soem mini marshmallows and fritos (gross combo, I know!) in a baggie for them. MDD comes over and says ~ Look, I have baby Jesus (marshmallow) in the manger (frito). She was so proud! :)

Dalton is at the farm doing a control burn so I put both kids in the tub with me. JDD HATES my tub, he is scared of the jets, but I finally talked him into getting in. We filled it all the way up and MDD says ~ Let's just visit and discuss that recipe you used to make that taco soup tonight. The dish was wonderful! I went on to tell her how to make it and she said that she was going to try that one for her husband, too. I mentioned how nice it was to relax in a hot tub, how cold it was outside and fortunate we are to have a house, warm water, etc. JDD says ~ It was be nicer if we had some bubbles. MDD says ~ Or some background music or something! I swanny ~ They can come up with the strangest things/requests!

It is supposed to be SEVEN degrees here in the a.m. ~ I have aleady told the kids we were not leaving the house tomorrow so don't ask! They are camping in our room tonight on the floor and you would think that they had won the lottery! We are sticklers for bedtime, sleeping in your own bed, etc. so the fact that they both get to sleep in our room in their sleeping bags AND watch a movie until they fall asleep has them thrilled to no end! :-)

I guess I better go brush their teeth and herd them up for bed! Hope you all are warm ~ I am ready for summer! :)
