Christmas Eve with the Chances

Nick even gets in on the fun with the easel! :)

When we moved here 8 years ago, I had no idea that some of the best friends that we would ever have were in our neighborhood. One day, as a stay at home mom, who was in DESPERATE need of a sitter for a whole 45 minutes, I called "the little15 year old down the street." Mary Dalton was about 12 weeks old and Sallie Ann came to keep her so I could go buy groceries for a party we were hosting. Since then , the whole family is part of ours! Sallie Ann is now (almost!) 20 and Nick is in the 8th grade. Mike and "Gigi" are truly like grandparents to my children. They have helped us in more ways that I can even list...hmmm..let's see....they kept JD for 4 days while DDD and I went to a conference, they help during the stomach virus...can aren't scared of our germs...LOL....were there for us during our wreck, the tornado, our SURPRISE pregnancy, and just the everyday things! When we werer thinking about buying our house we live in now, our ONLY hestitation was leaving them! They are not only great friends, but great role models and mentors to have. We would take both of their children and Sallie Ann is known as "our nanny" to everyone in town! If I don't have my children...she does! We miss her now that she is at college...we have great sitters...but they are not Boom Boom! (MDD named Sallie Ann this when she learned sally the camel! :))We enjoyed having them over Christmas Eve for brunch! MDD got a REAL diaper bag FULL of REAL things...this was a HUGE hit! JD got an easel with a chalk and marker board...another big hit at out house! Thanks Mike & Gigi! :)

Hmmmm..don't think that is for you Miss Priss!
Jackson is waiting to open gifts!
