Resurrection Eggs

Instead of doing the Resurrection Eggs one day at a time, I have always done them all everyday for about a week or two prior to Easter. Mary Dalton could tell the entire story using the eggs when she was 19 months! Jackson has never really been into it ~ imagine that! They played with them all afternoon and had the best time! Anyway, I decided that since we all home tonight (girl's night out got changed to tomorrow) that we should start. It was quite interesting!

MD ~ Calls the eggs "Directional Eggs"
JD ~ When he saw the wine glass in the egg to represent the Last Supper, he said, "This is a wine glass from the Last Bar." Not sure where he got that one!
JD ~ saw the coins that represent Judas betraying Jesus and wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese ~thought it was a token!

They really did know the majority of the story. MDD's little face was so sweet while I read the scripture and told what happened. At one point, I thought that she was going to cry! She is really asking a lot of questions and knows a LOT more than I would have thought. When we pray at night, I always pray that, "she will ask Jesus into her heart at a young age and always follow His will for her life." She gets VERY upset when I say this or mention it. She says, "Don't even waste your prayers. Jesus is in my heart already." I ask her, "When did He get there?" She ALWAYS replies, "He has always been there Mama! I feel him." She is such a sweet child...oh how we love our Mary D!!!

You can order them from Lifeway. They come in a carton and each egg tells part of the Easter story in order...very good idea! my kids love them!
