what a day ~ ~ ~ ~

Let me just say...today was a day...

I took JD to the dr. She is pretty sure it is a fever virus. He has to go on friday for his 3 yr old check up and she will recheck him then. no antib, just meds for coughing/runny nose....

fast fwd to 4:30 ~ I come in from the bank and md is asleep. i lay her on the couch and jd tells me he is not feeling good. i got a blanket and the trustu oxi-clean bucket. No sooner than I sat down, he threw up. Lovely.

I get him situated and the phone rings. I am washing my hands and dalton's dad tells me,"Amber, I need you to go straight to my house with your key. The alarm is going off and it is saying the house is on fire. Be sure you go all the way to the attic."

So~ ~ ~I grab MD and scream for JD to come with me. He is crying. She is crying. I put them in the car and start to back out. JD throws up in my car. I am in such a panic as fire trucks are going around the block to their house ~ not to mention JD is puking and MD is SCREAMING crying, that i hit the collumn at the end of the driveway. i mean...I don't just graze it. I knock it all the way in half. Total the whole back in end of my car! There is at least $5,000 worth of damage, if not more. The collumns have lights and all the electric wires were ripped apart.

When I hit it, MD is screaming even louder, remembering the wreck we had 2 years ago saying she does not want to go in the ambulance. I put the car in park and we get in the golf cart. JD pukes again. I jump off and get him in the grass...this whole time fire trucks and all the firefighter volunteers are pouring in the nieghborhood. Thank heavens for Deann my neighbor, she was in her yard and came running when I hit the collumn. She took puking JD and crying MD and I ran until another neighbor picked me up on the golfcart and took me to their house.

Thankfully, there was no fire! We went all through the house and the attic, but nothing. The firefighters were so kind and were all there soooo quickly! We have such a great little community! :)

By the time I got back, Deann had the mess and JD cleaned up ~ Aren't neighbors the best???

Needless to say ~ my nerves are SHOT today and I am about to bathe the kids and EVERYONE is going to bed!!!
