Amelia Island

Our trip was wonderful! Mary Dalton did well for her first girl's trip ~ we have got to work on her "riding the waves" ~ the first wave that crashed and knocked her over/under and she was DONE! She did like the sand, but would rather swim in the pool...which I tried to remind her we have in our backyard, but you know how that goes !;-) It was so hard to pick which pics to post, so I will try to do a few more of my favs tomorrow.

Here we are at the POOL ~ no beach for Priss! :) just noticed...her glasses are womberjawed!

A band played every night in the lobby and of course Sue-anna would dance with MD...even if NO ONE else was dancing! She had the BEST time!
We went to eat at Beech St. Grill ~ It is soooo soooo good!

We played Old Maid and Go Fish ~ too much fun! Yoohoo thought up the idea that if you had the "Old Maid" card, you had to dress like the old maid. MDD wanted to lose so she could wear the costume! You should have seen everyone looking at us like we were nuts! ha! :)

The robes in the room were too big, but we found one in the gift shop that was a prefect fit!
One cute thing MD said ~ while she was on the elevator on the last day with Yoohoo, she asked her where we were going next year for "girls weekend." Yoohoo told her that we go to the Ritz every year in Amelia Island. She said, "Suz. I have already seen this and been here. I want to go somewhere else I have not been! " Susan said that this random man in the elevator died laughing! :) Personally ~ I LOVE it and don't want to go anywhere else! :-)

My mama and sister (and her 2 kids) will be getting her tomorrow and staying through the weekend, so we are VERY excited about that! Mary Dalton is leaving either on Sunday or Monday to go to Nashville to be in some photos for the new catalog for Dalton's parents' company...and then we are all headed to Atlanta for one last weekend before "Back to School Bootcamp" has to start!
I guess I better try to go to bed...it is 2:08 a.m. and I cannot sleep....I gotta find some Benadryl!

I love looking at your pictures! Your kids are beautiful! Mary Dalton will only be an hour from us when she comes to do the pictures in Nashville. My husband, daughter and I live in Clarksville.
