Checking In ~

I am SOOOO mad! I just typed a LONG post/story about our MOST interesting trip to the circus and it would not post and it is now lost forever in cyberspace....uhhhh!!! I usually type things like that in word then paste them here...oh well...live and learn!

We had a great weekend! Mary Dalton had a party in Augusta on Saturday a.m. so we ran errands there and then had a nice afternoon at home. I even got in a 20 minute nap! :) I just love weekends when we don't have plans ~ just being us ~ what I love best!

I am having a gold party tomorrow night, so I have been cleaning for that! My friend Hope made about $1800 at hers, so hopefully I will have a good turnout!

MDD had a great week at school and so did JDD. Busy week ahead with the gold party, cheer camp afterschool for MDD, dance, and then the ball game on Friday. I think that after MDD cheers on Friday, we are going to retreat to the cabin for the rest of the weekend! Or at least that is my plan now!

I would also like to ask you to pray for Dalton's mother. BOTH of her parents have Alzheimers/dementia and can no longer live at home. We have had someone who comes and stays with them during the day, but Mother Sue really needs 24 hour care. She has found a wonderful place for them to go, but has to break the news to her daddy on Tuesday that he must leave his home. As I was talking to her tonight, she said, "Can you imagine taking them away from their home, knowing that they are never going back?" She has a LOT to work ~ what furniture, clothes, etc. to take, as neither of them are able to make these decisions, how to get them to go willingly, etc. If you have time or think about us, please say a prayer for her. Pray that Grandaddy will be accepting to the idea. Pray that they will BOTH adjust quickly and adapt to their new environment without any huge problems. This is such a sad, sad diesease. They are in perfect health except mentally. I cannot imagine how hard that must be to watch not one, but BOTH your parents at the exact same time slip further and further away each day.
Thanks for your prayers ~ But while I am asking for prayers...let's pray that they find a CURE for this illness!

Lots of Love ~
Amber
