I am home with Mary Dalton today. She has strep....again. I am pretty sure we are looking at having her tonsils out this spring/summer. This is her 3rd case in the last 2 months. She did not have to get a shot, we caught it early, so that was a plus! I hope she shakes it off quickly, but love being home with her! ;) She is just so much fun! Her little conversations that she carries on with herself crack me up!
I got a video of MDD saying John 3:16. She is really asking a lot of questions about heaven, God, sins, etc. She had been trying to start a Bible Club ~ she asked me to join the other day....now how can someone say no to that???? SO ~ I went upstairs and she (&JDD) both "read" Bible stories, sang songs about Jesus, and prayed. It was so sweet! She has the sweetest heart. Last night, when she was sick, I made the comment that I had a headache. She got up off her pallet adn came to the side of the bed. She put her little hands right on my head and prayed THE sweetest prayer for my head. My heart was SOOOOO full at the moment I thougth it might burst...no kidding!
We are very fortunate to have Miss Gail for her teacher this year. She has taught her so much more than I could have even thought of! She knows all the presidents, landmarks on money, how much money is worth, natural resources, sight words galore, etc. etc. But most of importantly, she has taught her so much about God. She knows so many Bible verses ~ the learn 1-2 each week. She knows about the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. She knows so many Bible stories I cannot even count! I am soooo thankful that Miss Gail takes time to teach THE most important things to MDD! She knows the 3 pledges, Psalm 23 and knows almost all of the Lord's Prayer. Things she will take with her forever! As a parent, this by far as been the most impressive thing about TJA ~ my children being fed spiritually each day!
