I posted on facebook the other night that I had this cooking in the crockpot (don't you LOVE a crockpot?!?) and several people asked me for the recipe. It is so easy I am ashamed to tell you how to make it! :) Someone brought this to us after I had Mary Dalton and we have eaten every week since! Both kids love it and Dalton likes it ~ and it is a cheap, easy, do ahead meal that makes leftovers so count me in! :)
3 large chicken breasts (I used a pack of tenders) bonelss and skinless
1 pckg dry Italian salad dressing
1 block cream cheese
1 can cream of mushroom OR chicken soup
1/2-3/3 cup water
Put chicken in crockpot. Add water and Salad dressing. Cook on low all day or high 4-6 hours. Chicken will be VERY tender, you can almost shred it. About an hour before you serve this, mix cream cheese and soup with an electric mixer and then add it to the chicken. Cook 1 hour longer. Serve over pasta of your choice (we usually have angel hair) or rice. Makes a good bit and great leftovers! :)
Enjoy!
