4 year old check up ~

Jackson had his 4 year old check up today and got his shots ~ He was screaming soooo loud and kicking and carrying on ~ It was AWFUL! I think it was so bad because he had just experienced the iv when he broke his arm! Anyway, it took 5 of us to hold him down. I felt so bad for him! He has had a rough time lately! :(

Everything was great ~ 95% in height, 45% in weight ~ BMI was 19 ~ so he is tall, lean and very healthy!!! Wish the Dr. said the same of me! ;) ha! He did not pass his vision test, he tested 20/50 so we will follow up this summer with an eye dr. to check that out.

Today was a very interesting day ~ a friend of ours was exposed first hand to meningitis. The child that she (our friend) was exposed to, actually passed away (she was 4 or 5). How scary is that?!? As a super precaution, Mary Dalton and Jackson will start on an antiboitic in the morning to prevent them from getting it. It would be unlikely that would get it ~ MD was only around her friend who was exposed for a few hours, but we feel that this is the safest route to take. Dalton has an uncle who is an pharmacist and a dr. and I called him and talked to him and he said that he would treat them ~ there is no reason not to. SO ~ since there is no more medicine left in the county, we have ours coming in tomorrow and will start it then. Please pray for the family who lost their child. Please also pray that there are no more outbreaks. The child's class has been contacted and all are advised to be treated. So scary and so heartbreaking!
