Kelly's Korner theme for the week is "Random Acts of Kindness" ~ I LOVE this! Here are a few that I have done or would like to do ~ and NEED to do more often!!! What an easy way to share God's love!
1. I love to surprise Mary Dalton and Jackson's teachers with small treats ~ a candy bar and a coke, a note, flowers, etc.
2. Dalton LOVES tea ~ I love to make a huge pitcher of tea while he watching TV and surprise him with a tall, cold glass of sweet tea
3. Taking old books and magazines to the hospital waiting room or nursing home (my classes do this every year and they soooo appreciate it!)
4. We also take snack foods and drinks to people in ICU waiting room or at the Burn Unit in Augusta ~ We weren't able to go this year, but last year when we went, people were so moved that someone had thought of them! It was a great feeeling and an easy way to minister to someone.
5. My mother in law once told me that when she hears an ambulance, fire truck, police car, etc. she prays for those driving and for those involved....love this! Mary D. reminds me to do this everytime we see/hear one!
*** When I had Jackson, our neighbor knew my hands were full! Mary D. was 17 months old and Angela's kids were teens. She would come at night (if Dalton was working late) and take MD on a golf cart ride, offer to feed Jackson, help with bathtime, etc. I cannot begin to tell you how much I appreciated that! My parents are 10 hours from me and Angela, who my children call "Gigi", would come to the rescue ALL the time! Stomach bugs, stitches, surguries, etc...Gigi would be there to help! When my children are bigger, Dalton and I both agree that we are going to find a young couple and do for them what she did for us!

What a terrific list!
I especially love that your mom prayers for the people involved in an emergency.
What a great gift!
