Lots of Nothings ~

Let me start by saying, "I hate (I know a strong word to use!) fall." I promise I have sneezed 500 times in the last hour. I have tried EVERYTHING Rx and over the counter, and the only relief I can get is from Benadryl bc it knocks me out....cold turkey! Dalton's sister told me today that some people use local honey ~ something to do with the pollen. I am picking some up in the morning and praying it works! You know ~ sneezing after birthing 2 babies 17 months apart is NOT good for your bladder! ;)

Today at school, we had See You at the Pole. Ours is done school wide. It is student lead, but K3-12 grade all goes at 8:15. This year ~ actually today ~ one of our teachers had surgery to remove and reconstruct both her breasts. She has breast cancer in both breasts and JUST had a mammogram ~ scary! It was so beautiful to see all our students praying for our school, our country and Miss Bonnie. We broke into groups and prayed and I joined a group of my 9th grade boys. All I have to say is, those boys can PRAY! They were so sincere, honest and open. I was telling another teacher how much it blessed me and she had the same experience with the 11th grade boys. I love that our students love God and aren't embarassed to share their faith. /i love that our teachers pray with our students every morning. The first thing that is taught each day is God's word. I love that my children consider to the Pledge to the Bible and the Christian Flag just as important as the "Pledge." On days like today, I am so thankful and reassured that my children are in the perfect place. Godly teachers ~ What a BLESSING!

Now ~ just for Nana! ;) Some sweet pics from the last few days! Mary Dalton's teeth are still hanging on! Shouldn't be too much longer 'til she is a snaggle tooth!

This was Sunday after she SWORE she was NOT tired ~ yeah right!
Jackson LOVES to cross his eyes and look like the cat, Sunny! Crazy boy!

I could not resist this one! How precious is this outfit?!? I am in LOVE with it! Much to my delight, she spent a lot of time in the paint center and had paint all over it! I LOVE to get a stain out and this one was way fun for me...kinda like my therapy....in a sick, sort of weirdo way!

And she only wore 500 bracelets! You can hear her coming 10 feet away from all the jangling! She thinks if 1 is cute, 10 is better! As you can see in the background, we are ready to put the scarecrows out ~ just waiting til closer to time! ;)

Jackson before school. He got in some trouble today. He thought he would stick his tongue out of me (REALLY slyly). Needless to say, the spoon came out of the drawer and gave him a reminder of how to behave! I sent him to his room and went up about 5 mins later to talk to him. He was soooo sorry! It made me sad for him as crazy as that sounds! His heart was broken that he had hurt my feelings. I told him that it was not kind and Jesus says that you must honor your father and mother. He apologized and that was that. Fast fwd to bedtime ~ MDD was trying to pick out a devotion to read him. She said, "hmmm...let's see if we can find one about being kind and keeping your tongue in your mouth and not doing evil things." I thought I was going to die trying not to laugh! Like she is some saint! ;)

Amber - love your posts about the family! You are taking me back a few years when ours were that age.
Don't know if you've tried the Walgreens brand of zyrtec - Wal-Zyr - how original! Our family cannot live without it. One a day keeps the sneezes at bay! We also use the Advil ibuprofen cold and sinus - used to get the Equate brand from WM - a few dollars less, but this is the same stuff and it works great. Best about both products - Non-Drowsy! Hope you find some relief soon!
And we will continue to remember you and your family this weekend as you travel for the funeral.
Debbie
