Random Ramblings ~

School is going great this year! Jackson loves his friends and looks forward to going everyday! He says he is going to marry Bree and even gave her a ring sillyband and asked her to marry him! ;) She is just as sweet to him as he is to her ~ They really are best friends and are PRECIOUS together! He brought home a list of sight words and I made the comment that I had not taught him the words and needed to do that. MD chimed in, "Oh, I did that for you, he knows them all." I called him in and low and behold the child read the whole list to me! Thanks Mary D! Hopefully she will teach him the next list, too! ha! He is having grandparents day tomorrow at school, so Yoohoo and Big Daddy will have a treat in store I am sure! ;)

Mary Dalton LOVES school. The child that hated it last year, LOVES it. I never have to drag her out of bed or bribe her to go, she just loves it and that makes me SO SO SO happy! Her teacher asked me if she truly was as happy at school as she seemed....and yes, she is! I am so thankful for her sweet teacher and that she loves and job and makes learning and school so much fun! She is doing a great job with her AR! She does not however want to read sight word lists anymore. I told her she had to read it for homework and she said, "Why?" I told her bc it was homework and she needed practice. "Do you practice sight words" I told her that I did not bc I could read. She looked at me and said, "I can read too...and I know the words, so I don't need to practice." Needless to say, she DID practice (and got them all right I might add)....but she did have a point! BOTH of her top teeth are loose! We are having some pics taken on Monday before they come out ~ that little smile will be precious, but it won't ever be the same! :( She is growing up too fast!

They are LOVING choir! I love hearing them sing all the sweet songs and especially the Christmas ones! Choir was such a big part of my life growing up and to this day, I can remember songs and scriptures (to songs) that I learned in choir. I can't wait to see their program!

Mary Dalton is going home with a friend tomorrow after school ~ actually 4 girls are going home with one child and then meeting us at the football game. It always makes me nervous when she goes "off" ~ I hope she remembers her manners and is kind! I am sure she will have a great time and she is SUPER excited!

I am looking forward to a nice, quiet weekend....or so I hope! :)
