11 Years of Wedded Bliss!!!

And that's the truth! When I met Dalton, my whole world changed ~ for the better!

Both of use were blessed to be raised by Christian parents who prayed for us each to find a Christian spouse. I am so thankful God answered the prayers of our parents and brought us together. He is my other half. My safety. My fun. My joy. My heart.

Oh, how I adore this man!

The past 11 years have FLOWN by ~ I still feel like we are 23 and 26 ~ or at least some days I do! ha! I usually watch our rehearsal video and wedding video each year on our anniversary, but this year I pulled out my scrapbook where I kept EVERYTHING from receipts from our honey moon, movie ticket stubs from our 1st date, along with EVERY letter that was mailed back and from MS and GA ~ no Internet then! ;) It was so much fun to look back and reminiscence about all the fun we have shared! With all the fun, there are of course times that we must face that are trying, but we learn and grow from those times ~ and become closer because of them!

I could not choose a better spouse for myself and father for my children! I am so blessed to be

This is a poem I found he wrote me dated 6-18-99

When I first moved to MS, I used to sit and wonder why God put me there,

And then I met my gift from Him with the beautiful golden hair.

I told her that she needed time, but little did I know

that I would fall in love with her and hate to see her go.

I begged and pleaded to no avail and even pitched a fit,

But still she stayed with the one who treated her like *&$%.

Within a few short week I told her that I loved her, and that I would always be there,

and then she dumped her boyfriend and did not even care.

When she told me she would go to Georgia, yes we were Georiga bound ~

I think that I left so fast my feet barely touched the ground.

I love her hair, her lips, her eyes, her personality is nothing short of a blast,

I know in my heart without a doubt that this is going to last.

Now she's in Mississippi and I'm in Georgia,but she still makes me smile

And I know it won't be long til we walk down the aisle.

I love our whirlwind romance and I sometimes wonder when it will ever end,

And then I realize that it own't because she is my best friend.

***Now how sweet is that???

And I'd marry him again ~ a million times!
