(Backup) Alaskan Cruise Days 1-3

Lately ~

9 people.
1 Delayed flight.
3 staterooms.
100's of ice cream cones.
3 sea sick people.
2 who ate nonstop.
1,000's of games of air hockey.
Views we won't ever forget.

Whew!!! We just got back from a trip of a lifetime that was high on our bucket list!!!
An Alaskan Cruise!
Dalton's parents gave this to us for Christmas instead of presents...and what a gift!!!
We had the best time!!! Our trip started on May 25th and we headed to Seattle.
I fell in LOVE with this city! It's a 5 hour flight but should be added to everyone's bucket list! The people were so friendly, so much to see, so many good places to eat!
We got settled in and headed out to The Capital Grill.
Holy. Cow.
This is one of the top 3 places we have ever eaten! Our sweet waiter was from GA and we fell in love with him!
(Jackson went to bed! The time change was killing him!)

After supper, we met up with Sue-anna and Amos! We were excited to see the, but seeing Susan-Laine was high on our list, too!
Saturday morning, we slept in and headed out for doughnuts before taking in the town!
For some odd reason ~ I am a HUGE germaphob ~ I was dying to see the famous Gum Wall!
It was kind of off the main walkway but we found it and added our pieces ~
When in Rome....
Pikes' Place was my favorite thing ever!!! The fish, the meats, the CRAB LEGS, the MOST beautiful flowers EVER, fresh fruit and other vendors...we loved it ALL!!! Sue-anna surprised us with a fresh bouquet of flowers for our stateroom and we bought a TON of fresh fruit for the cruise!
These were only $10 a bundle! They were soooo pretty!!!
There was the cutest little man doing watercolors, so we bought one to bring home as a souvenir.
The original Starbucks....that sells the same coffee as the one on the next street...but people line up ALL day to get coffee here.
Beecher's was also high on my list! The mac and cheese was not that fabulous, but we tasted their cheese and watch them making it...their homemade cheeses are delicious!

Dalton was also pumped that the Filson headquarters was in Seattle ~ we ubered over to check it out!
After that, we made our way to the HUGE ferris wheel!Jackson was not sure about it ~ It was HIGH and we went out over water...but once we got going, he was good! ;)
The other side of the cart....Sooz and Amos decided they were better off on the ground! ;)
Our view from up top ~
We went to a late brunch afterwards....and this is the ONLY picture of all 9 of us!!! I am so sad we did not take more as a group...but it seemed once we were on the boat we were always spread out!
Sunday morning, we had a board time of 12:30...which gave us time to visit the Space Needle! Great views of one of my new favorite cities!
While we were there...we spotted our ship~ The Norwegian Pearl.
We boarded and found a drink and were excited about a week away from work, responsibilities, and together time!
Mary Dalton was excited about spending a week with Sue-anna!
Look at that dimple ~ LOVE!
Jackson packed his Eno and set it up on the balcony ~ He was swinging and the boat was rocking...the movement did not bother him a bit!
See ya in 7 days Seattle ~

One of my favorite parts of the trip was Razz coming to visit us! She was cracking us up all week!!! We just adore her!
I think Big D is pretty smitten with her, too! ;)
We went to dinner were he gave her $1 for her to tell him a secret...he offered money and she spilled her "secret" ~ which was nothing....but it was so cute !

As we were eating...I noticed I was feeling a tad sea sick...we finished up and I headed STRAIGHT for the Dramamine!!!

Whew!!!! That was a busy 3 days!!! Hopefully I can get all our days covered before I forget what we did! ;)
