Earlier this month, the middle schoolers took a trip to Charleston South Carolina. I opted not to go on this trip… And my kids are actually excited to have some time on their own! They left early Tuesday morning and headed to Charleston.
Instead of them running with friends, we got the two of them a double room, which worked out perfectly! One of their teachers told me that Mary Dalton mothered Jackson the whole trip… No shocker there!
They toured Fort Sumter, went on a submarine, went bowling, did a ropes course, and so much more! I’m a big advocate for student travel so I was so excited my children have this chance!
I was very shocked when I found out that Jackson was a volunteer for the ropes course! I honestly did not think he would even participate… He is not a fan of heights!
My children absolutely adore their new teacher this year! Miss Sandy has been a doll and they both just think she hung the moon! She is so much fun and relate so well to them!!!
Mary Dalton locked the ropes course and went up to the highest level!
There were not a lot of middle school girls on this trip, but she made the most of it and had a blast!
I love this picture! Jackson is not very happy because Miss Sandy just kicked his butt in bowling!!!
Such a great group! I can’t believe I will be teaching some of these kids next year!!!!
And let’s just say… While the kids are away the parents play! We only had two nights together but we made the most of it and had ourselves a blast! Everyone asked me if we were lost without them… I told them absolutely not! We picked up where we left off 15 years ago before we had kids! One on one time with this man is hands down my favorite thing in the whole world! We went out one night and cooked at the cabin one night! It was wonderful!
The kids got that Thursday and then had a day off of school on that Friday. They had a wonderful time and made so many fun memories!!!
