Weekend Fun...

Well I officially had my last weekend of summer. Saturday I was up at 5:15 because I took our girls to a cheer clinic at another school. We could  only take 12 bc of the bus, But only eight wanted to go. We loaded up early and made our way to the clinic!

These girls had the best time! They laughed and cut up all day! We may not be the most skilled squad, but they are definitely the sweetest and the prettiest! I adore these girls!

It was a full day event and they had a stunting clinic. We were missing so many girls we weren’t really able to participate so Whitney and Mary Dalton had a photo shoot instead… No surprise there.
Mary Dalton has loved having Betsy as her big sister in cheer. She is an outstanding cheerleader and a great mentor for Mary Dalton.

We had three girls try out for all state cheerleader. While they were trying out these girls went to a different clinic.

Good Best Friends always.

While we were gone, the boys were at the farm. When they got home we were trying to decide what to do for supper. Dalton was determined that we were going to have shrimp tacos. He sent Jackson out to the freezer to get the shrimp. Jackson came back in and said we didn’t have any. I did like any mother would do, and I went out there to show him we did have shrimp. Not only did we have shrimp, they had put this rattlesnake on top of the shrimp to scare the crap out of me! And let’s just say it worked!

I love a good joke but this was over the top… I promise I’m going to get them both back!

Right after that I faced time to Mary Dalton👯❤️ and this is what I saw…

Scared me to death again! She was doing a stupid charcoal facemask!

We are slowly finishing up our renovations. Charlie will be back this week and hopefully in two weeks we will be completely done. He finish the mantle and I’m absolutely in love with it.

I just noticed the lovely basket of laundry… Welcome to my life. I go back to work tomorrow.
Year 17.
I’m excited because I will have Mary Dalton this year in class and in clubs… And of course and cheer. I have a rare advantage that I still get to be with my children so much. I certainly don’t take that for granted. This year should be a great year. I’m looking forward to making lots of memories but I’m certainly not wishing time away. I am bad about wanting to do the “next thing.” My goal is to enjoy the day and where we are.
Here’s to a great school year!
