Halloween 2019

Halloween 2019 snuck up on us for sure! I know I say it all the time but I really cannot believe how quickly time is flying by! It was the night before Halloween before I realize we have not carved our annual pumpkins and had our contest. Thankfully the kids did not protest too much…

Dalton LOVES to carve a pumpkin!!!

We posted the following pictures on Facebook. Jackson has won for the past six years. His pumpkin is number one.

MD was two....

And Jackson is the reigning champ! Seven years in a row!

Our new headmaster loves for everyone to dress up for Halloween! You would not think that highschoolers would be wild in Halloween but they are.... so we just made it a fun day in my class! No sense in trying to make everyone miserable!!!

All of the staff dressed up, too!!!

Jackson got to wear his flight suit he didn’t get to wear during homecoming because he was sick!

Sweet girls!!!

we had all of our elementary students come trick-or-treat in the high school classrooms. I did not have a class so I took half of the freshman since there are so many of them. The little children were so cute coming in and getting their candy from the highschoolers! They got tons and tons of candy! It was so much fun!!!

My Halloween helpers!

Whit and MD ate their fair share of candy, too!!!

Some of mdd’s favorite first graders!!!

My not so little babies....

MD made Brinson a “spooky basket.”  She did this last year and wanted to do it again this year. I was cracking up because when she did it last year they had only been dating about two months and she was so nervous to give it to him! They’re such sweet friends!!!

An AWFUL storm came through town right at 5!  It was a storm like we have not had in quite a while! We ventured out to the law farm around six and it was still raining. It cleared up about 630 and with in one hour we had given out 60 pounds of candy! We have never ran out of candy! All of the churches canceled their function so everyone came to see us!

Mary Dalton Mary Dalton blew us off to go to Al’s with Brinson! They went and ate afterwards with their friends and had a fun night together!

Halloween is definitely different with older kids but we still have our traditions that I refuse to let die and our “forced family fun!” Ha! It really was a fun day!!!
