We just got back from a fun 4 days in NYC with our high school. There was LOTS of planning that I did for this trip and SO much could have gone wrong...but it was a huge success!!! Thank goodness!!!
So many of our kids have never flown, so just the flight was an experience! We left the school at 6:30 to catch a 10 am flight from Savannah to NYC!!!
Ready to board the plane!
Brinson was nervous for his 1st flight!
The flight was smooth and all our luggage arrived!!! AMEN!!!
We were in NYC and ready to have a fun!!!
The tree was stunning!!! Definitely something everyone should see at least once in their life!
FAO Schwartz was closed the last time we were there so we went in to check out the new store!
Channeling our inner Tom Hanks!
The group went to Top of the Rock, but we were short a ticket, so MD and I walked around until they were done! It was crowded, but not awful at this point! It was a super fun night but we were TIRED and headed back to the room!
Friday morning was a busy day of touring! It was cold, but near as bad as we were anticipating.
First up ~ Going to see The Statue of Liberty!
We had a walk down Wall Street, a trip to China Town and visited the 9/11 Museum ~ BUSY DAY! We left and went back to freshen up before seeing The Rockettes!
They did NOT disappoint!!! They are so good!!!
It was starting to rain pretty hard so we went back to the hotel and ordered cookies and ice cream from Uber Eats.
Saturday the weather was AWFUL ~ but we had a "free day" in NYC so we headed out!!
1st stop ~ Trump Tower for coffee and a muffin. It was beautiful!
Spending time with Mary Dalton was my favorite part of the trip! We had such a good time! She is so sweet and thankful for every little thing. Just a doll!
We book "The Ride Holiday" and it was a blast! We ran into some sweet girls from Jefferson County!
This was also a highlight of the trip! We laughed, sand and danced on this bus...we had the BEST time!!!
The rain was in full force by the end of the ride...we walked around but then I was feeling gross from a sinus infection, so we went back to the room to hang out until our dinner reservation at 5:30 with The Willis Family at Sparks Steak House. This is Trump's favorite place to dine, so it was a great treat and delicious meal! MD got her usual filet, medium rare...mine was burned...how I like it! :)
We walked around awhile after dinner and then the kids wanted to hang out at the hotel ~ they worked out, watched movies, and just had fun avoiding the flood outside!
Sunday morning we visited Chelsea Market which I LOVED!!!
These sweet girls had the best time....
It was a fun trip and we made so many memories ~ it definitely did not feel like a field trip because all but 3 kids had a parent with them...which meant I only had MD to really keep up with!!!
I can't wait to start planning next year's trip!!!!
