Our first part of Christmas break was spent at home and enjoying some much needed rest Dalton was in Texas on egg hunt and the kids and I held down the fort at home.
Mary Dalton did some babysitting, but we squeezed down a lunch date and did some last-minute Christmas shopping.
Even though they really did not want to, nicely told them we were going to make Christmas cookies. I had everything made they just had to decorate them. There are some traditions I will not let it die and this is one.
Mary Dalton also made some Christmas treats for us to enjoy over the break.
Mary Dalton’s class had a Christmas party…
Jackson and I went on our annual hunting trip.
And Dalton and I enjoyed lots of time together. I dread going back to work…I am ready to be retired and spend all my days with him.
I normally take the Christmas decorations down the minute that I can. I left everything out this year and we enjoyed it up until the new year.
On Christmas Eve we had movie night in the den. I had also it’s of snacks and drinks. It was a fun time!
It was unusually hot the entire week after Christmas. We were in shorts and T-shirts! It wasn’t seasonal weather, but it was perfect for target practice with Jackson’s new pistol.
I have SO enjoyed my time off and seeing our families!!!
