I can’t believe the end of February is quickly approaching! Time has flown by this month! We celebrated a quick date night for Dalton’s birthday at Able Brown’s with the kids.
Our basketball team had multiple girls out for injuries and sickness and the coach asked Mary Dalton to fill in for one game. It was such a fun time! She is so grateful she did not pay but she had fun filling in for the night.
Dalton told her he would give her $100 for every basket she made. She only made one but she was tickled pink! It was also his birthday so that made his day!
I can’t even believe I am typing this but we had our first official college visit to the University of Alabama. Mary Dalton loved it! She ranked it a 10 out of 10! She always has said she wanted to go to old mess but after visiting you a she’s not so sure. We visit Ole Miss in a few weeks so I guess we will see!
Lydia went with us for the tour and they had such a good time. I pray every single day that my children will know exactly where they are supposed to go to college and have a good roommate situation. It’s funny how your prayers change over the years. I can remember praying that she just would not get the hiccups and would be able to sleep and now I’m praying that she will know without a doubt where she is supposed to go to school…
She and Cameron went to bonefish for Valentine’s Day last weekend.
And these two have no idea how much they are going to miss each other…
Jackson went to a Super Bowl party with some of his class. At one point his class only had seven people in it and now they are up to 17! These are some of the original seven and they are very close friends.
Valentine’s Day at school was fun!!! I decorated my room and planned a fun day for the kids. Got a quick picture with my two kids! :)
The day was so much fun!!!
This week has been kind of difficult. Actually I’m not going to lie has been extremely difficult. We lost a close family friend brain cancer and then another friend of ours committed suicide. I also found out that my headmaster is not coming back to our school next year. We also had some other things come up at home that were stressful. To say I’ve been filled with fear, worry, and anxiety is an understatement. I had to take some time to be myself and re-examine what I know to be true. This week will be a hard week as we say goodbye to two people our family deeply cared for. Life is so precious and we are never guaranteed tomorrow. I’m doing my best to shake off all of my feelings of doubt, fear, anxiety ,etc. and live each day to its fullest. As sad as we are none of this came as a surprise to God. He knows what’s best. He loves us more than we know. That’s what I’m going into right now. The weather this week looks absolutely amazing… It’s going to be in the 80s so I know that will also help boost our spirits. If you’re reading this, please keep our family in your prayers this week.
