The pageant was held after honors day. Mary Dalton has been home sick all week with strep and the flu… and an ear infection. I was worried she would not be able to participate, but she joined in the fun! She lost 7 pounds in a week so her dress was a little big, but she looked beautiful.
Cameron and Carter came to cheer her on!
My girl didn’t win. She didn’t even place. All the girls were beautiful. We have some absolutely gorgeous girls at our school. But what is pretty to me is what is on the inside. You can see from this picture below, that Mary Dalton was absolutely overjoyed that one of her best friends won first runner up.
And her sweet friend Lexi, said take one of my trophies and let’s take a picture. That’s the kind of friend that I want her to always have. One that shares their successes and can be happy for others.
I love that my kids share their best friend. We all adore Lexi Lou!
As we were leaving, we ran into two of my former students. They went to the Taylor Swift concert when md was 4! We had to re-create the picture! 13 years later, Madison is expecting her first baby and Kady should be engaged any day! I’m so glad she has this sweet girls to look up to. Even though she doesn’t see them all the time, they are always so sweet to her.
Little Layla looked like a doll!!!
I am so proud of Mary Dalton. She displays so much confident and poise for a girl her age. She is smart, she is kind, she is a good friend, she’s a hard worker, she has a hilarious personality, she’s over the top fashionable, she cheers for others, and she’s mine. We are so blessed to have her!!!
