Dalton told me last night that I have not blogged in forever and he is right! So here’s a quick life update from us…
Mary Dalton is still working at the boutique and loving it! She also nannies a good bit for a family so she stays busy. They have Facebook live sales once a week and I love to see her sweet face on my screen.
Jackson had an eye appointment so we left school early and went to Tako sushi to eat happy hour sushi! We had the best time!
We love when Lydia drops by for a visit! We all love her so much!
What are the odds that all three of these girls wore the exact same color green on the same day?!?
I celebrated my birthday! Big Joe and I share a birthday and we always take a birthday picture! I will miss him next year!!
I just got these pictures of Dalton from his hunt in August… The scenery looks beautiful!
Mary Dalton went to Elizabeth‘s bachelorette party Labor Day weekend and was about 5 miles from home when she called and calmly told me she had been in an accident. I pray the Lord‘s protection over those cars and children nonstop. I’m so thankful that she was not hurt and that it was not her fault! We will have to get her car fixed but it is still drivable and we are just so thankful she is OK!
I have really been in a funk at work for the past three years. I loved my job before and it got to where I absolutely hated going. This year has been wonderful. It is so refreshing to love what you do again! Our new headmaster is so easy to work with and she allowed me to implement spirit days for our seniors. Some are bigger than others but we celebrate the seniors once a week in someway. This day was dressed like a frat boy day. Mary Dalton found her daddy‘s old sigma chi shirt from 1994.
So fun!!!
We love to go over and see the K3 babies while we are at break.
Are pep rallies also have Thames this year! This was a construction themed pep rally
Mary Dalton checked Mary Charles out of K3 so she could come to the pep rally. I’m not sure who had more fun! Mary Dalton adores this little girl!!
we also love our sweet Ford! I teach with his grandmother and so I get to see him every day. He will run and jump in my arms and absolutely melts my heart. He is so precious!!!
Mrs. Whitlock loves to join in with the kids and dress up. I love that we have a headmaster who is also a mom of teenage girls and understands life is too short not to have fun!
Our football team had a huge win last week! We beat a rival school that we have not beat in several years. It was one of the funnest football games I’ve been to in a long time! Mary Dalton and Whitney were pretty excited!
Beans is such a good football player! He is just a sweetheart and so well rounded. I’m so thankful he’s at our school. All four of us think the world of him!
Jackson went to a celebration party after the game, but Mary Dalton went home because she had tickets for the Georgia game on the following day.
Bird season is in full swing, the weather is slightly cooler, and football season is in… This man right here is in heaven.
I don’t know how we have managed but we have been on a date every single week this month! I love having time with him.
As part of the leadership youth program the children have to go to several county and civic meetings. Mary Dalton and Lexie went to the county meeting this past week.
This weeks spirit day was…our seniors are one smart cookie! We had so many different cookies and they enjoyed them throughout the day!
We are also in the middle of wrapping up our birthday box collection for the underprivileged children in our county. Our goal was to make 50 boxes and I don’t have a final number but I feel like we will be over 100! I’m so proud of these kids for helping make that possible!
Some dates look a little different these days… We went to the eye doctor together. My eyes are still good after having Lasik surgery but big D had to get some glasses to help with his vision up Close.
And since we were in Augusta … We squeeze down a date night!
We are gearing up for homecoming week. These are the seniors on the court and one of them will be crowned homecoming queen on the 30th.
Mary Dalton and Whitney are starting to realize that their days together are coming to an end. They have been together every day since K5 and are going to be so lost next year without each other!
We ended our week with a night at the cabin.
Jackson went to the coast for the weekend, Mary Dalton went to a concert last night and is going to a birthday party tonight. I am holding down the couch and trying to catch up on laundry. We have had a lot going on in our family over the past little while. I am so thankful for each day that we have together and pray that God would help us look for the good in every situation.
