St Patrick’s Day!

Mary Dalton and I went to the St Patrick’s Day parade in Savannah this year! It was the UGA decision day, so we thought this would be a fun way to pass the day and stay busy! We left Thursday night and got a room in Rincon so we would be close to SAV the next morning!

We had NO IDEA what to expect, but we grabbed a bite to eat and waited on our Uber at 7:30. We had been told to get there early..and traffic could be an issue.

It took us about 40 mins to get downtown, but we arrived and saw Coach Hennessy! His family is Irish Catholic and he invited us to sit with them. He got there at 3 the PREVIOUS day to stake claim to their seats/area. I was so thankful to have somewhere to sit!

Some men from Ireland wanted a picture with MD!

We were all set…and had a two hour wait for the parade! It was a mix of tailgating at The Grove and a VERY clean Marti Gras. SUPER family friendly… nothing distasteful at all!

Coach Hennessy asked MD if she wanted to walk in the parade with them!!! She was SO excited!!! Katrina is a freshmen at UGA so we were glad to see her!

Of course MD was excited to see UGA!

When MD got to us at the parade she got out of line and sat with me for a little while. Then, we walked over to see Sue-anna, Amos & Razz! We were so excited to see them!

MD just adores Sue-anna!!!

We spent a few hours with them before we headed home! It was hands down the best St Patrick’s Day!!!
