Well…we have a graduate!!! Mary Dalton graduated last Friday, May 12th. I took the day off to spend with her and relax! I was not sure if I would be emotional, nervous, etc. It was a PERFECT day and I was just so excited for her!
One last bathroom picture for some of the senior girls! It was FLOODING so the ceremony got moved to the gym. The girls were trying to dry off and fix their hair.
Oh my heart can hardly stand this…
Sweet Dalton bough the auctioned seats for graduation so we had front row seats right by MD! It was so nice, especially for the grandparents.
My heart could just explode with pride and admiration for her. I still can’t believe she is mine.
Her valedictorian speech was the best I have ever heard. She used the theme of dressing up and showed her red “pregnant dress” from when she was a little girl. She mentioned what she and her classmates had dressed up as over the past 14 years together. She ended the speech with reminding her classmates to be like 5 year old MD, unapologetically you. She NAILED it.
The traditional hat toss!
We were so thankful that we had friends and family there to celebrate her!!! Mike & Gigi have been so involved with both my kids’ lives. We are so thankful for them!
Mary Charles was loving the medals!
Sweet Sallie Anne! The best babysitter ever!
Jackson & his favorite, Mrs. Cathy. He is ready for his turn to graduate! I am NOT, He is my baby. I want to keep him with me. ;)
We can never thank Mrs. Cathy enough for all she has done for our kids over the years. She is amazing at her job and pushes my kids to be the best versions of themselves that they can be!
Sweet Jack. Oh this kills me, too. They are SO SO close. They are truly best friends. She referred to him as her “Secret Keeper” in her speech. I pray that they will always have this bond.
So so so blessed.
Sue-anna, Amos & Razz even made the drive! We loved spending time with them!
Sweet Nana & Pawpaw…Nana made the famous “pregnant dress” and she was so surprised she made the speech. She may live 10 hours from here, but she made it a point to be active in my kids’ lives. She hauled herself her at least 3-4 times a year when they were little. She is the best.
Big & Sooz! So proud of their first grandchild!
I don’t think ANYONE is more proud of MD than Jerry! He is THRILLED!
Mary Dalton was Mrs Whitlock’s first diploma to ever hand out. This is her first year as a head of school.
We LOVE TL! She is the sweetest!
Thankful for sweet friends!
We have loved having Deiana at the school this year! She is MD’s chaperone for their senior trip. I know that they are going to have a blast!
Marti Ann is headed off to GA Tech! I hope that these two stay in touch! Years of friendships!
One last picture before heading home!
Oh we are so thankful and blessed to be her parents! We pray God’s continued blessings and protection on her life!
