work it girl! MD was working it when she put on her dress up earrings! That girl KILLS me! ;) I took the above post before we went to the last of 4th of july cookouts and then left my camera at home! :( This was a MUCH older crowd ~ We had live accordian music ~ but it was so sweet of them to ask us and we had a great time...and of course the food was delicious! The kids got to fish after we ate and then we enjoyed another round of fireworks!
Tuesday, the Hodges' clan came over for a dip in the pool! The kids had a blast and Tammy and I enjoyed catching up!
I literally tried 500 times to get a cute pic of MD and MW but NO such luck! Anyway, take my word for it...they are WAY cute....and if you don't believe me....ask their Daddies! ;)Now ~ This morning we had to run errands and I told MD she HAD to wear something out of her closet (not some ragedy junk from the drawer = play clothes). She asked if she could wear the dress you see below. I agreed, fixed her hair and came downstairs. She yelled down asking what shoes to wear...I said ~ "Just whatever." BOY did she choose a pair ~ complete with those famous dress up earrings and dog purse! ha!!! LOVE this mess of a girl!
We went to Dollar General to get sunscreen and cat food (that alone made me feel a wee bit trashy and like an old woman....) and wouldn't you know Taylor Swift comes BLARING on the loud speaker....and in true MD fashion, she bursts not only into a LOUD duet with Taylor but also a full dance! Look out! As we rounded the next aisle, two older black ladies saw her and laughed and laughed...I think she made their day. They said, "Look at her with those go-go boots on...she must be going somewhere special!" ha!!!! I felt like we were a band of gypsies between the dress up shoes, cat food, boots, singing, dancing....and oh yeah...the HOT pink feather boa she bought with her two dollars that *finished* this fine ensemble! And the WHOLE time we were in the store, JD kept asking if he could get a "Deceit" when he paid for his sticky hand! :)

Had a great time catching up. We can always find something to laugh about! I had so much fun watching MW and Jackson on the swings. They were so giggly!
