Happy Mother's Day!!!

The first words I heard this morning where, "Happy Mother's Day!" Mary Dalton was so excited to remember and come downstairs and wake me up. Jackson (who got in our bed about 4:30 this a.m.) replied, "Hush Sissy...we sweepin'!" ohhh the love! :)

I am so very blessed with my husband and 2 children. Dalton and I prayed even before we were married, that God would bless us with healthy children when HIS time was right. Who knew His timing was going to be so close? ha! Knowing what we know now with the blood disorder and genetic condition, it is a true miracle that
1. I could even GET pregnant, much less get pregnant TWICE.
2. I was able to stay pregnant past the first 12 weeks, most people with MTHFR cannot carry a baby without serious medication. I carried MDD just fine (we did not know I had any condition then).
3. Mary Dalton was born healthy. MTHFR causes a major problem with folic acid levels and if you get pregnant, there is a VERY high chance your baby could have severe birth defects. I took no medication while pregnant with her other than vitamins.
4. Jackson was born healthy. I did not get diagnosed until i was about 14 weeks pregnant, so i went 14 weeks with no heprin or folic acid tablets (I took 6 a day).

The only thing that I ever wanted since i was a little girl to be a mother. My heart really does break for all of the women who are not pregnant yet or cannot get pregnant. I remember wanting a baby so badly that my arms actually ached to hold one. The 6 months is took me to get pregnant with MDD was the LONGEST six months of my life. God has blessed me more than I could have ever imagined and I am so thankful that I get to celebrate Mother's Day with the 2 cutest, smartest, FUNNIEST, cuddliest, kissinest, honest children in the "hold" wide world!!!

Happy Mother's Day!!!
