Bible School DROP OUT ~ ~ ~ ~

We are having Bible school at our church this week. Mary Dalton HATES HATES HATES it! There is no other word for it...she really hates it. To make a long story short...she was so excited about going, she and Jackson were in the same class. That class was for k4 and kindergarten, and they took anyone who showed up, regardless of age...so they ended up with 27. They ask if they can move her to divide the classes (would Jackson be ok)and I said sure. WELL ~ ~ ~they were moving her to FIRST AND SECOND GRADE!!! SHE IS FOUR. For those of you who know me well, you DO NOT bother with my babies! When I realized what was happening, I explained that this was not a good idea. The other lady and I talked back and forth and she said that she did realize that I would be upset, since MDD is in Team Kid with 2nd graders. She is in Team Kis with 2nd graders, but there are all the other k4 kids in there too....ANYWAY ~ ~ ~I took her back to the k4/kindergarten class and by this time she had no seat and they all had their plates and were eating. I could tell she was uncomfortable, and getting upset, but I left her anyway because LIKE AN IDIOT ~ I signed up to keep nursery. Within 10 mins, the director was at the nursery door with a crying MDD. I think that she would have been fine if they would have left her there and the whole moving episode did not occur. However, those kids were WILD and LOUD ~ 2 things she doesn't "do" ~ I made her go back and she was ok, but as soon as we got in the car, the tears started again....SO ~ ~ We have an official Bible School Drop Out! Jackson had fun so he is going back, but MDD is going to the farm with her daddy.

She was so sweet, we tried to explain WHY those children acted the way that they do and they really needed to be in church bc their parents do not take them to church ~ hence the wild and loud behavior. When she said her prayers she thanked God for Bible School. She was so excited! I hate she had a bad experience, but I feel this is going to happen a LOT in little life, because she is so sweet and passive in a GROUP ~ ~not at home!LOL

Anyway ~ it is what it is...some people think we are crazy for not making her go back...I really do not care what they think...she's not going.

Oh yeah ~ she was also offended that her class had to color bommerangs while the "big" kids got to make necklaces! ha! She was REALLY upset that the teachers asked the kids to be quiet and "they did not even listen! They kept being rude!" It must have been loud bc Jack has requested a whistle to take so Miss Kristi can blow it and "those loud kids will hush."

She LOVES Sunday School and children's church, but those are our "regular" kids who attend church and whose parents require them to behave. It does ruffle my feathers though that other children mess things up for our kids who are there every week. This was just another lesson as to why I need to continue to teach my high school students at TJA ~ I do not "do" bad children either Mary Dalton!:)
