Never mind that Mary Dalton is having her first sleepover...Dalton and I wanted to go pick vegtables...why?? We are crazy.
We loaded up the kids and went to pick corn, tomatoes, bell pepper, eggplant, okra, squash and cucumbers. We were LOADED down with vegetables. We did not think about coming home at 8:00 and having to actually DO something with all of it! After 3 hours, we have it all cleaned and waiting on the last of the corn to cool before I head to bed...IF the girls go to sleep! :) I have to say, I am VERY impressed with myself for doing this...:-) I think I may be turning into a Mennoite...if teaching does not work out, I guess I could get a job at the Dutch House cooking! Wouldn't i be too cute in a bonnet and a dress with nikes and socks? ha!
It is 11:00 p.m. in GA and Jackson has been out cold for 2 hours, Mary Dalton and Alison are still up watching TV ~ I forgot how much fun a sleepover is! I let them freeze Jackson's underwear since he was the first one asleep. They have made Muddy Buddies for snack, swam, picked vegetables, played in the rain, played a game of Pretty, Pretty Princess, took a bubble bath, watched 2 movies and had 2 bags of popcorn...I think that they have had fun ~ but I KNOW for sure that naps are in order for tomorrow!
Signing off for tonight!

Her first sleepover. . .She's getting so big!!! Wish I was there :-(
I know ~ we cannot believe that she is going to be FIVE! She is too big, but so much fun! Remind me to tell you the American Girl story, it is too funny!
I don't even know what all is involved with "putting up veggies!" Glad to hear the sleep over is going well - poor Jackson is in for a rude awakening with the undies. Love the new design!
I would love to hear dear hubbies comments about the nikes, socks and dress. I think you should try it for fun. You inspired me to start a blog. Don't think it will be near as funny as the Dowdy Doings, but seems like it will be a fun way to keep in touch w/family.
