Future Gymnastics Star ~ or not!

Mary Dalton's friend Abby was over for a bit on Saturday and while she was here, she did a flip on the bar. No biggie ~ Didn't say a word about it...just did a flip. As soon as she left, Jackson jumped on the bar, pulled himself over and did the same backflip just from watching her. WELL ~ MD was NOT happy that she could not do the flip. She tried and tried and I helped her for a good hour and then she went inside crying. In the meantime, Suz calls. I proceed to tell her that MD is crying bc she can't do a flip. Suz then comes over and spends the next almost TWO hours trying to teach MD!! IT WAS HYSTERICAL. At one point she said, "Mary Dalton, you are the only person that can do Susan, better than Susan!" Things come easy for MD (usually) and if anything requires much effort, she is not interested. Suz was DETERMINED to help her ~ and she did improve...but we still have a ways to go! I have a video that I was going to post, but MD's hind end is shining so I thought better of it ~ but trust me ~ It was too funny!

Ta-Dah! *Notice the stool ~ Suz thought of EVERYTHING!

One, two, three ~ nothing! As you can see, Suz had her hands full (literally) ~ MD just hung on and she had to lift her and flip her over.

And I get suckered in to help again while JD photographs ~ PLEASE note, that at this point, she is NO WHERE near the bar...just hanging out in my arms!

And my favorite shot of the day ~ Suz gets desperate and gives MD a demo! We were cracking up! She is such a good sport! :)

At the end of the day, MD could not do a flip ~ BUT she is closer. Suz gave her some 1 lb dumb bells so she could build up some upperbody strength! ;)
