Lemonade Stand Fun ~

Mary Dalton and Jackson have been BEGGING for months to have a lemonade stand. Since the weather was pretty (and the maid came and the house was clean!) I decided it was a perfect day to have a lemonade stand! I did "do my homework" and put it on facebook and even emailed my sweet neighbors to let them know that my entrepreneurs would have nice cold lemonade for them to purchase! ;)

Mary Dalton was SOOO cute ~ she was able to measure and make the lemonade all by herself! It was REALLY hard for me, but I put my chair far away from them and let them do all of the work! They were adorable! They made a sign, greeted customers, gave change, and even poured the lemonade (without one spill I might add!).

I need to THANK all our friends and neighbors who went out of their way to stop by ~ Yall made their day! Even one of my sweet students, Madison, came by with her mother on her way to Augusta! She was so sweet to pose with MD & JD ~ (If you can't tell, JD is pretty smitten with Madison!)




And needless to say, it was very successful! They made $21 in 2 hours and we even ran out of lemonade and had cusotmers wanting more! ha! ;) They both took their money to the book fair today and picked out a book and a pen to buy.

And a word to the neighbors ~ Miss Sharon (K5 teacher at school) asked MD about the stand....she proceeds to tell her that her daughter, Emily, used to paint rocks and sell them to the neighbors....so guess what's coming up next from the Dowdys??? Painted Rocks!!! ;-)
