Tee Ball!

Jackson had his first tee ball practice tonight. I must say, I am NOT an athlete. I don't enjoy one sport. At football games, I only like to eat and watch the half time show. I also don't see why anyone would want to run around after a ball. Put some shoes or a cute bag out there and then maybe I'd be interested! ;) Anyway ~ MDD had already decided that she would rather not go to practice. Instead, she stayed with Suz and they planned her birthday party (which I know is in August, but hey...we are top of things! ;)). So here I go with JD to practice. He knew several on his team and is pretty outgoing, so he went right on the field. I sat in the stands with the other mothers who all knew WAY more than I did about what was going on!

First they ran bases...check. He can do that. Then, they used their gloves to catch a rolling ball. Uhhh...no check here! We just bought the stupid thing last night and I literally pulled the tag off when we got to the ballpark so he had NO IDEA how to use it and I was trying to put it on the wrong hand! HELLO AMBER!!!

After that, they got to hit. He did make contact with the ball...but it was not pretty. He was so happy though! He already can't wait to go back! ;)

Here's what a few conclusions I have come to about tee ball ~
  1. They get to bat until they hit the ball.
  2. Every hit is a homerun because no one can catch the ball, THEREFORE~ no one gets out!!! EVER!!!
  3. Dirt is way more interesting than waiting for the ball to come your way.
  4. Gloves can also be used for hats.
  5. He may be the CUTEST little boy in the world!!! Especially on that field with his glove! ;)

I love your blog! Too cute! Used to live in South Georgia and my brothers played Dixie League tee ball, it was hysterical. My brother used to hit the tee stand instead of the ball to knock it off and then would just start running to first base!
