Get Ready to be AMAZED!!!

When the children got home from Summer in the Son, I had a BIG surprise....their caterpillars came in! We ordered them last week...they both got a butterfly "habitat" at Bass Pro last week and they are pumped! I hope they don't hatch or do anything super amazing while we are out of town! ;) If I can get these babies to hatch....Iwill be shocked! ;)

That gross brown stuff is their food...when they move to the top of the cup, you transfer them to their home! Sounds easy...we will see! ;)

Now ~ TO BE AMAZED!!! I FRIED CHICKEN! I have never done it nor do I know what possessed me to attempt! I decided that since the maid comes on Tuesday, she could clean the stove top extra good if I made a major mess! ;) We also had fresh squash...which I stewed, fresh field peas, and homemade macaroni and cheese! And to top it off ~ Peach Cobbler! Holy cow it was good! :) Dalton was SHOCKED to say the least!

**Yes the chicken is cut in half! I am a FREAK about making sure meat is done!!!

Today is the photo shoot for The Orchards catalog cover....sure hope MD and JD behave!!! They are sooo excited and she keeps saying she is famous bc this is her second cover shoot! ;)

They are not going to be able to go to Summer in the Son today, so we will probably be by the pool after the photos.
