Favorite Bible Verse ~

Kelly's Korner is featuring "Show Us Your Life" again this week and the topic is your fav. Bible verse. I was shocked when I just looked to see what people had linked up to realize only about 170 have been done so far! Most weeks there are LOTS of links....makes me wonder do they not have a favorite verse? Are most of the not Christians and need to read our verses? Do they not know verses? Regardless of the reason, I love the way Kelly so openly shares her faith and she has so many followers who read her blog each day and I pray that the scriptures will reach someone.

One of my all time fav. verses is Romans 8:28 "And we know that ALL things work together for good to them that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose." ~ I can think of countless times that things did not work "my" way and I was so upset, hurt, or even angry at God. However, EVERY time He was doing what He knew was best for me! I love to look back at situations from the past and see how God was working His plan out and I did not even have a clue!

Another favorite is a simple one, but one I treasure, "This is the day that the Lord has made, I WILL rejoice and be glad in it." When Mary Dalton was having such a hard time adjusting to school last year, we sang this every morning on the way and it helped her so much! I need to remind myself of this one more often, too!

MD's teacher this year, taught her a Bible verse for each letter of the alphabet. I am looking forward to JD doing the same this next school year! So many of the verses that are so dear to me are verses that I learned as a child...at home, in church and even at school. I pray that the verses they learn will be inscribed on their tiny hearts and that they will take them with them wherever they may go.
