Hmmm....I could not decided whether or not to blog about this, but since this is my "scrapbook" I decided I would blog with "abridged" version. Today, JD's teacher came to my door and said she needed me for a second. He has had a cold for about 2 weeks, so I just assumed he was not feeling good. She started off down the hall ~ and I followed...thinking she may stop at the bathroom ~ maybe he threw up or had an accident ~ oh to be SO lucky for a little barf....she kept walking and it was then I realized she was heading to their classroom. She told me to wait at the door and then came out my precious little baby....with a tear streaked face. I could look at him and tell he was in TROUBLE. I bent down and said, "What did you do? Why are you in trouble?" The repsonse I got ~ I won't repost, but let's just say.......Jackson decided to do his Daddy proud and show off the "family jewels" if you know what I mean.....to some other boy in his class, and that boy returned the favor to JD. LOVELY! I WAS SO SO SO SO EMBARASSED. I could have DIED. I took him to the office in hopes Chuck would scare him....yeah, that pretty much did not work. He was calm, level headed, hugged him ~ NOT what I was wanting. He did get a bad spanking at school and apologized to his teacher. When I asked him WHY ~ "Because I wanted to." When I asked him WHERE he learned that, "Daddy." SERIOUSLY?!? While I am working on sight words, Big D is teaching our 4 year old all sorts of "tricks!" Why oh why are boys so stinking proud of their parts? From what I have gathered (from several people who have heard this story), this is a normal "male" thing. I guess like a univeral handshake, but not really....Anyway ~ I hope he has learned his lesson and he sticks to "high fives" or handshakes for his greetings! ;)
All that being said, today I am thankful for second chances. I am thankful that when we do mess up, we have a God that not only forgives but forgets.

I needed a laugh and you did not disappoint. He is going to love this story when he gets older.
Glad we pulled through for you Tammy! He is going to be the death of me! ;)
I'm giggling but I'm giggling even more thinking about your mom hearing this story. She always laughed so much when retelling blog stories. I miss her!
Ohh how i miss the dowdy family!!! love you miss amber!
Sweet baby boy, bless his little heart. I seem to remember somewhere back in the far reaches of mind a little 3 or 4 year old girl, Christy and Brent jumping on the bed as high as they could, buck naked!!!
They don't call me Big D for nothing.
Oh Amber! Bless your heart ... and his! You have to write about Dalton's reaction to this whole ordeal - I'm guessing it was probably hard for him to not grin and give him a pat on the back?
Once again, Jackson Dowdy gave the Rodgers home a big laugh last night. We look forward to your daily blog to see if it's a funny or a sweetie. Mary Dalton gives us funnies and sweets as well.
