Today, I am thankful for betime. I love to sleep! I don't get near the amount that Iwould like to since having children, but when I can sleep, I LOVE it! I don't like to sleep late, but I love to crawl in bed EARLY ~ in fact, it is 7:30 in GA and I am typing this in bed! What I love most about bedtime, is putting the kids to bed. I love to read to them, say prayers and sing a song. It's the best 5-10 mins of the day that I can spend one on one uninterrupted with each child. Tonight, after saying MD's prayers she said, "Mama, why do you always say 'in Jesus' name' at the end of the prayer?" I said, "Bc the Bible says to ~ It says whatever we ask in Jesus name He will do." Let me just say ~ NOT a good answer for a 6 yr old! She says, "Oh great, Dear Jesus, I would love to have some new make up. In Jesus name, amen." I said, "Oh, MD, it does not work like that, Jesus is not like a genie that just gives us whatever we want whenever we ask..." and before I could finish she said, "Oh ok ~ Dear God, just hook me up with some chapstick! In Jesus name, Amen." Bless her sweet heart! ;) We will have to work on this one this week!
But I am VERY thankful for sweet bedtime prayers & kisses! :)
I have a new recipe that may sound gross, but it was SO good and SUPER easy ~ And only has THREE ingredients! My kind of meal! ;)
Apples & Pork Chops
1 can of apple pie filling
1 box of Stoufer's stuffing
4 pork chops (I use boneless )
Spray a 9x13 pan with Pam. Spread apples in bottom. Lay on pork chops (I salt mine). Prepare the stuffing. Top the pork chops with the stuffing and bake covered at 350 for 30-40 mins. Uncover and bake 10 mins more or until pork is done.
Hope you enjoy! :) It's one meal that all 4 of us eat, so it is a "keeper" to me! :)
