Tuesday = Funday!

Yesterday, we FINALLY had time to use Jackson's mini pizza kit that Big Daddy bought him at the book fair! He was sooooo excited! He wanted feta cheese for his pizza, so while we are the grocery store (AGAIN) we got the supplies!
While Jackson was working on his pizza, Mary Dalton made the butterfinger cake for me! She did awesome! Oh the things that she can do now that she can read! She pretty much did everything except put it in the oven ~ and she was super proud about it!
We had our monthly Girl's Night Out last night ~ We are probably not your typical "night out" ~ we usually stay home, sometimes we will "spring" for something wild and go to a movie! ha! A lot of times, we don't wear make up and go in our PJ's. We always have the BEST food and laugh, laugh, laugh!!! I have some FUNNY friends! Last night, we went to Clairissa's house. She made this "Black and Blue Salad" ~ she got the recipe from a place in Aiken. It was SOOOO good! We even had homemade tomato vingerette!

LOVE these girls!
Me & Tammy ~ She is so much fun! Last night she asked that if she passed away that we please not put her picture on a shirt! She always has funny stories! LOVE her!

I am taking Mary Dalton to the Dr. at 10:30. They are closed for 4 days and she has been complaining about her throat. She woke up coughing, so Dalton wants her to be checked so we don't wind up in the ER later this weekend. Poor Jackson still sounds awful, at least he is acting fine!
I have a LONG overdue hair appt today and then we have our annual oyster roast at the cabin tonight with some of our best friends! Lots to do, but excited about a great day ahead! :)
Today, I am thankful for medicine. I am thankful that my children have a Dr. who loves them and loves what she does. I am thankful for the so many lives that have been saved by medicine. I am thankful for my Drs. that took care of me while I was pregnant with Jackson. I am thankful for the knowledge God has given them and thankful for the wonderful care that they have given us!

You can put my picture on a shirt, but only a good one= big hair, full make-up and pearls please. No pics of me with an oxygen mask or on my death bed. What started as a conversation about me being oldest ended up with me dying first- morbid I know. Let's just say I learn so much from observing my students and their families.
