Weekend Wrap Up & Funnies

After the race on Saturday, I met the kids and Dalton at the farm. Jackson was so disappointed I did not win a trophy! ha!

I love that we have the farm and that my children know how to play without toys!

They would stay on these haybales for HOURS if we let them! Today, I am thankful for the cabin & the farm. I am thankful that we have a place where we can go and our children can be outdoors and play! I am thankful that we can go there to unwind and reconnect as a family.
Saturday night, we went to dinner with 5 other couples to celebrate Clairissa's birthday! We ate at Bonefish and it was SO SO SO good! Dalton & I shared the coconut shrimp ~ They were to die for! I had the salmon and it is always yummy!
It's a RARE day when we are out alone! We were able to catch up on the drive over to Augusta and the drive back! I love him so much and enjoy being with him! He is way fun! ;)

Today is the 1st official day off from school and we spent it with the bugman and at Wal-Mart....fun times! ;) Dalton had court and was able to meet us and help out with the MAJOR groceries we needed for this week and we also all had lunch together! The weather here is sooooo pretty and 78! OH YEAH! That makes this mommy WAY HAPPY! :)

Jackson (as he was eating what are now called "candy sticks" instead of candy cigarettes): "Don't worry Mommy! It's just candy, I won't get lung cancer!"

Jackson said, "Daddy's study is such a mess! Somebody needs to clean it!" Mary D said, "Out of the mouths of babes huh Mama?" ;)

Jackson is DYING for an ipod touch for Christmas, this is ALL he talks about. As he was talking about it, MD chimed in, "Jackson, good luck with that! I have been asking for those Bitty Twins for THREE years now, and they have yet to show up! And I am good!"

MD: "Mama, why do boys smell so bad? Will my armpits ever stink like theirs?"

MD: "I am naming one of my daughters Mary Susan." I commented that was a pretty name. She said, "Suz said she will give me that big ole diamond ring if I name my Chinese baby that!" She is bound and determined to adopt a baby bc she does not want a husband ~ See above note ~ they smell! ;)

And my favorite, "Mommy, sissy says I am going to have to go to 'boring' school if I be bad!" I explained what an EASY life that they had and then went on to explain boarding school, guess she misunderstood me!
