I could not stand it! I have got my power adapter pushed in the computer with a flip flop and a remote! I had to blog before I forget what happened this week!
Mary Dalton is up to 38.5 points in AR! We are super proud of her! She is bringing home 2 books a night bc she really wants to earn 50 points so she can get a ribbon on Honor's Day at school! Her books are about 50-70 pages each and it takes her about 10-15 mins to read them, but she loves them! Jackson said, "sissy, how many points do you get for those books?" She said, "Half a point a book, so I am reading 2 so I can get a point a day." He said, " Well, those dumb "s" and "W" books have just a few pages, that's what I would read. You are wasting all kids of time reading those thick books for nothing." ha! I have to admit...he does have a point! ;)
I was so excited about March being here, but it has gotten chilly again! Storms are headed our way any minute and pretty weather is supposed to be here for this weekend! My sister and mom will arrive late Friday night and will be here through Tuesday! YEAH!!!
This was the last sign of "baby" at our house, I sold both carseats this week. Jackson's booster came in and he is so proud of it! I bought the Britax and it cost a fortune, but as you know, we SWEAR by these seats! I had to get one last picture of them before I sent them off! ;) Jackson still does not weigh enough to be in a booster (40 lbs) but was too tall for the carseat, so we decided to move him.

funny story ~
MD: mama, i know what all you teach...reading, biology, earth science, physical science, and ........
me: "Ah" trying to get her to say anatomy
MD: uterus science!
ha! ;)
We don't have a sink full of dishes, but a sink full of boots! dalton is beyond excited about turkey season coming in! he will be going on a trip to AL next week in hopes of getting a big one! Jackson is just as excited and really hopes he gets to go on a hunt or 2 this year since he is "big" now!

We started a new system at our house this week...really for Jackson. Bless his heart, he got the worst of Dalton & me! He always has to have the last word, is never wrong, has an opinion about everything and thinks that 99% of things in life are funny. Some of the things he does, are not major enough for a spanking/time out/taking something away. So ~ I gave each of them one of the $12 cups from the disney show a few weeks ago...hey, at least I am using them! They each have 10 tags in them. If they tattle, talk back, argue, don't do what i ask the FIRST time...they pull a tag. Once a tag is gone, it's gone...you can't get it back. We had a family "meeting" with them in Dalton's study and oh how I WISH we had a camera! MDD bought into it hook line and sinker....JDD, yeah...not so much! He said, "So, if I hit Sissy, how many of them things are you gonna take and do I still get a spanking?" Great...

anyway ~ on Saturdays, they can "cash" in for their prizes! Jackson has lost 2 and MDD lost one, but I can REALLY see a difference. I hope that when they earn their "prizes" they will keep up the good behavior! And by NO MEANS are they bad children, but even the sweetest and best can always be better! :)

Favorite moment this week ~ "Mama, I love you so much, it hurts my heart."
That boy melts my heart!!!!

Little Miss Hollywood working the camera before school!
YEAH!!! I made it through a WHOLE post without the computer dying! SUCCESS! :)
**I do want to ask that you please pray for Dalton's grandmother, Mother Sue. She is unresponsive and his mother and uncle have some tough decisions to make. I am praying that God will take her home and they will not have to make those decisions. She has Alzheimer's and has not had much a quality of life in about 2 years. This is such a sad, sad disease and I pray a cure is found soon! Thanks so much for your prayers!

Amber - So sorry about Aunt Sue. We will keep all of you close to our hearts and in our prayers in the coming days. Gran (Uncle John) has been having some very tough days recently with dimentia. We've all been taking turns staying with him every day to help Mama Kate get other things done. Lots of friends are helping, too. I don't understand why this is in God's plan, but if it is to keep me on my knees, then I'm not getting up! Love to all of you. Doc is so excited about the hunt with Dalton at Cabin Bluff!
