The Chicks Have Left the Nest!

And we were up at 8 a.m! ha! When Sue-anna texted us yesterday to see if the kids could go back to the coast with Dalton's parents, all we thought about was sleeping late ~ so much for that! Our built in kid alarm clocks we developed the last 6 years woke up right on up!

I posted this picture on FB yesterday, but had to post here as well! Jackson was counting his bbs ~ all 500 of them! He was making sure Wal-mart was telling the truth about how many came in a pack! ha!!! He would get to 102, 103, 104 ~ then Mary Dalton would talk and he would lose count and have to start over! He never got mad, he just started over. This kept him busy for a good hour and no, he never finished counting! Suz showed up to pick the kiddos up and the counting game was over!
Mary Dalton insisted on wearing her candy necklace in case she got hungry on the drive down!
They were both super excited to sleep in their cool new room at the new coast house! They have bunk beds and a TV in their room ~ so they were EXCITED!

Dalton and I took the opportunity while they were gone to go out for our anniversary! It is actually THIS coming up Friday, but with no kids in town we could go out and not pay a sitter ~ What a treat! We went to French Market Grill and it was SOOOOO good!!! I have spicy blackened shrimp over cheese grits and he had a steak. It was like a flashback to "B.C" ~ "before children" ~ We got there around 8, we are usually home, bathed and getting ready for bed at 8! It was BEYOND heavenly to eat somewhere where chicken nuggets are not on the menu and a ketchup bottle is nowhere to be found! :) We enjoyed a nice, long meal and we were able to catch up and just enjoy our conversations!

Today, we have another HOT date to Home Depot! ha! Dalton needs to price some things for a rental house and the kids (more so MDD) HATE Home Depot, so we are going back over to Augusta to do that later on.

The kids will be back home tomorrow afternoon! I am sure that they will have lots of fun stories tell! Enjoying my time with my 1st love, but ready to see our little loves! :)
