Amos and me!
It all started on Thursday evening when Amos came home from work to a surprise Luau. Mary Dalton was in charge of decorations and Jackson was in charge of greeting the guests. Some of our decorations included personalized place mats, place cards, and menus highlighting what our Hawaiian Luau consisted of.

Here's a lesson on how REAL records work from "Uncle" Amos. . .
On Friday, our day was filled with a trip to the Farmer's Market on the city bus, playing in the water fountain (which turned into playing in Amos' HUGE shower because the water spout fountain at the capitol was closed), sushi, and a ride in a taxi cab!

"Amos' Water-tastic Fun Park" as so named by Mary Dalton. . .They played under cold water for almost 2 hours! Some of their "games" were hilarious ;-)

Jax with his chopsticks. . .Sushi wasn't really his "thing" so I made him a ham sandwich to take with us. He didn't mind the edamame, or "Eda Mama" as he called them. He even tried the tiniest bit of tuna, but Amos didn't realize that there was chili sauce on it. . .Needless to say, he did NOT care for it!

MD rocking her chopsticks. . .This was her second attempt at sushi with Amos and me, and she did GREAT! Loved the edamame, veggie tempura, rice, and even ate a few bites of my tuna. She's getting to be quite the pro at chopsticks, too. . .Might have to graduate her to real ones soon ;-)

After sushi, we thought we would make it to the Symphony in the Park Concert just in time to catch the last few songs (one of which would have been the Star Wars theme, and would have thrilled one certain little boy to no end!), but alas, we got there just as it was letting out. Not to be outdone, Amos made our little outing into an adventure by calling us a cab to drive us back home!
Saturday was the big day! We were headed out to "The Festival" as Mary Dalton kept referring to it, also known as CMA Music Festival. She had been last year and had really been talking it up to Jackson, so they were PUMPED!

We got to wade around in the Ocean Spray cranberries. . .Just like on T.V.!!!

And then, after Chinese Delivery and Toy Story 3, it was Sunday morning and time for our traditional Sunday Morning Gospel Dance Party. . .Amos started this one of the first times that Mary Dalton came to stay with us, and it has definitely stuck. She started asking about it before we were even out of GA! Amos puts on a little gospel music and we all dance around and act silly. . .It's too much fun!!!

But sadly, the fun did have to come to an end, and we did have to give these two little darlings back to their Mommy. . .I think that you can sum it up like this. . .

All of my love and lots of kisses to my two favorites,
Sue-anna
