Funnies & Other Blog Worthy News!!!

I feel like I have been an AWFUL blogger lately! I want to remember EVERYTHING about Mary Dalton & Jackson but lately, I have been going 900 mph! Anyway ~ I HAD to blog about these things...not for anyone but for myself!

Every year, the newspaper has the kindergarten students write in and tell what they want to be when they grow up and why. Jackson's teacher stopped me in the hall and said he said he wanted to be a plastic surgeon. She asked him why and he said, "Because they make a lot of money...and I like money. And because I like water balloons and boobs." FABULOUS! Guess I am watching a little too much Dr. 90120!?!? ;)

Mary Dalton's big news ~ She learned to swallow a capsule! This may seem minor, but the child HATES medicine and this is WONDERFUL for us! She has had some congestion the past 4 weeks so the Dr. called her in a Rx to knock it out! She is feeling so much better already!

I saw MD in the hall at school this week and she said,

"This is the best day ever! We have no spelling words this week, no math homework and my team won at dodgeball!" It was SO sweet that these kinda things make her so happy!

This is one of the pics I had done last week ~ I was hoping Jackson would lose his other top tooth, but that thing is still stuck in there! I was very pleased with the photos and can't wait to see the rest!

jackson's teacher also said, "I guess I am going to have to find a new boyfriend." I assumed she was going to say that JDD had asked her out or made a pass at her (he is a LADIES man!) but she then said, "Jackson informed me my boyfriend was trashy!"

I COULD HAVE DIED!!! He saw his picture on facebook and I guess he was not impressed! ;) Thankfully, Jillian thought it was funny, but good golly that boy and his mouth!!!

He got into trouble yesterday ~ he pinched MD and then later hit her. His 1st punishment was to fill up 2 trashbags with pinecones...when he later hit her, I had had enough. I called Dalton upstairs to spank him. When he saw the belt, the boy came UNGLUED! It really was pitiful ~ he was crying and BEGGING for another chance...offering money, candy, etc. then in the most pitiful voice he said, "But, Daddy ~ I am your little buddy!" Talk about breaking your heart! Discipline is SO not fun! BUT! So necessary!!!

Mary Dalton got her mirrors put in the game room ~ she has a full mirrored wall and ballet bar for dance. This is ALL she plays! She LOVES it! She teaches her american girls all sorts of routines and writes out each step...too cute! She is getting so big and has matured so much this year! Even her face has changed! I love the little lady she is turning into!

We have NO plans for the weekend! Dalton is going out of town and it is supposed to rain. I am hoping we can rent some movies, snuggle and maybe sneak a trip in to Augusta for some mellow mushroom ~ our FAVORITE! :)

we are super excited that my sister, niece and mama are headed our way in a few weeks AND that spring is quickly approaching ~ I can't wait to say, " I SURVIVED ANOTHER WINTER!" :)
