Although we have not been out of town, these past few weeks have been the weeks of company and we have love seeing our friends and family! Rhett and Kari were here last weekend and we managed to squeeze in a night out without the kids! We had such a good time catching up with them and ate some delicious food!
Dalton and I also went out another night and finally celebrating our anniversary! I forgot to take a picture that night but we had Calverts and it was delicious!
There of been many small town firework shows around, but in my opinion Davisboro does the best! Mary Dalton went over to Brinson’s house and cook out and then went to the firework show with them.
There is nothing prettier than at sunset in rural Georgia...

We tried to do some shopping but it was so hot and we were all miserable so we came back home and got in the pool! I absolutely love summer but the week has been super hot!
Since it’s too hot to do anything they’re entertaining themselves… They did this garbage bag challenge and it was absolutely hilarious!
On Tuesday morning, we drive down to the beach for the day. We’re only about 2 1/2 hours from the beach and I thought a day trip would be fun!
It was super fun but good Lord it was hot! Brinson and Jackson stayed in the water the whole five hours! I love the beach… Love love love and I’m so thankful I got to at least see it this summer!
Fourth of July was spent sleeping in and waking up to Dalton’s delicious breakfast. We had a low-key day with a few hours in the pool of course! We met up with Jeremy and Natalie for the firework show in Louisville.
Ava Grace just found out that she made peewee troop competition team at her dance studio. She was so excited and we are so proud of her!
Brinson was at the fireworks and came to watch with Mary Dalton.
I finally watched A Star is Born and Overboard. They both were so good and it was a nice break from the heat!
The highlight of my day was a cold glass of champagne, the view of the pond… Which you can’t see in this picture, and a book! The perfect way to unwind.
we have a weekend trip coming up and some small house renovations I hope to get handled before I go back to work. I actually go back to work one night from today. Our summer has been kind of weird since the boys were gone for the first part. I told Dalton we have to have a weekly date nights the whole month of July and golf cart rides every night to make up for lost time. We are looking forward to more time together as a family before school starts back
