Weekend in ATL

We just got back from a fun weekend in Atlanta. We had thought about leaving Friday night but opted to go on Saturday instead. Friday night we went furniture shopping and finally settled on some new pieces for the Den. Jackson went with us and was a dream. He played on his phone and never complained… It took a while for me to make a decision but I’m excited about our new things! This couch is not what I bought… This is just where he purchased while I shopped
Saturday morning, Elizabeth headed back to Mississippi and we headed to Atlanta. We were later than we wanted to be getting off so we stopped for a snack and Mary Dalton found a gas station corn dog… There’s not much better than gas station food.

The boys went to a hunting store and we went to the mall. It was super crowded and beyond hot even in the mall. We didn’t do much shopping we just looked and then headed to check in our hotel. We booked on Priceline and got the Hilton in downtown. We did two roofs because the rate was so reasonable. It’s so nice to have two rooms and spread out!

We went to Ted’s Montana steakhouse for dinner and we all had the bison. It was delicious!

All three of them ordered bison filet and are every bite. MD can EAT a good steak! She’s tiny but can out eat Jackson on a good steak!

These two shared a strawberry shortcake dessert!

Downtown Atlanta has change so much since we have been. The homeless population has increased dramatically. It was a lot of trash on the street and it just wasn’t clean. We walked down to Centennial Park and looked around. Dalton jumped in the middle of these ladies’ picture. He makes friends everywhere we go!

We headed to Skyview! I’ve wanted to do this for awhile so I was pumped....but Jackson and even dalton...not so much.

Not gonna lie, it’s pretty expensive and you just get to go around one time. The one in Seattle is way better, but it’s a great way to see the skyline of Atlanta and some but I really wanted to mark off my bucket list so I’m glad we did it.

When we got back to the hotel we realized none of us had a phone charger. We had cords but no USB outlets were in the room. After I called the front desk and reminded them it was 2019 and it was time to update, I remembered about Amazon now. I had Jackson download the app and for $60 we all four had exactly what we needed and under an hour. Not the cheapest, but in a pinch it was well worth every penny!

We slept super late Sunday and then got up and headed to a 1 PM game at SunTrust stadium.

We had lunch there and these two kids chopped, chopped, and chat.

We chopped our way to a win!

We stayed until the seventh inning and it was getting super dark and about to rain so we got out of there before the bottom fell out.

We got home probably about 630 or seven. It was a quick trip but we had a blast!
