Dalton had a conference last week and I took two days off of work and went with him. It was at the Lake Lanier and neither of us had ever been there. It was a beautiful resort!
We got there late Tuesday night so we had all day Wednesday and most of the day Thursday. It is a very remote place and they had golf carts you could rent and explore the Holland. We enjoyed this so much! Even though it was October, the temperature was near 100° so I got lots of pool time which was a treat! We had a great time and I wish we could do it more often. Our time is so busy at home and he’s so stressed most of the time, so having a little get away was just what we needed.
We came straight back and went to Jackson’s football game. It was hot as blue boys! Bless their hearts, they have not won a game yet this year! I have two more games and I will be glad to see the season end… I think Jackson is ready for it to be over too!
Friday morning was grandparents day and Mary Dalton was asked to be the master of ceremonies again this year. She did a great job! She also sang Going to the Chapel with a group. It was a fun morning!
After grandparents day all of the cheerleaders stay at the school to decorate for homecoming. When they were done Mary Dalton had some of them to the cabin to watch a movie before the game.
Dalton came as soon as he got off of work and cooked for them before they went to the ball game for our pink out. I love this about high school… She’s made so many new friends! Both of my children are so blessed to have good friends from good families!!!
after the game Mary Dalton wanted to go to Fred’s. Live in a small town doesn’t leave much today so the teenagers hang out in the Fred’s parking lot. I went to pick her up about 1145. You would think she would be embarrassed that her mom comes to pick her up… She is not in the least embarrassed! She’s just glad she gets to go! I try not to be bothered by picking her up because this time next year she will be driving herself which scares the crap out of me!
Saturday, I had a massage and then we watched two Lifetime Movies. Talk about a great day! We went to see one of Mary Dalton’s friends in a pageant Saturday night. Annie and Alison went with us and we went to dinner. It was such a fun night
We had the day off today for our fall break and I pretty much spent the whole day preparing for the week! Homecoming week has always been hectic but now that I am the cheer coach it’s extra hectic! I have planned and organized so I hope everything run smoothly!!!
