Big Cedar Lodge Part 1

Monday morning we were up and at ‘em!
The prizesis continued as we crossed into Tennessee, Arkansas and then Missouri!
We made a pitstop in some small town in Arkansas so Dalton could visit this “world famous“ hunting store. Little did he know, that they had a boutique in the store and Mary Dalton and I bought more than the boys did! We got to see a good bit of Arkansas and seeing all of the rice plants was super cool!

We finally got to Big Cedar Lodge around 530. It is more beautiful than these pictures can even show! It is super super remote! We checked in our room and immediately the kids went to check things out!

There’s literally so much to do here! You could stay 14 days and not see her do everything! We had to kind of pick what we wanted to do and go from there. High on our list was going into Lost Canyon Falls. You rent a golf cart and it’s a 2 mile ride and it takes you down into the cave. The views along the way were absolutely breathtaking! We went right at sundown and it was the perfect timing!

Right as you enter the Cave, they have a bar. We all grab something to drink and ventured into the cave!

My pictures did not turn out but it was sooooo cool! The kids really enjoyed seeing it! We finished up our tour and stopped along the way to take some pictures.

We even went and looked at the golf course before having dinner. Everything here is done with such class and was so nice!

Our sunset view at dinner....

Tuesday morning we woke up early and we headed into Springfield,Missouri. This is where the flagship Bass Pro is. The boys were in heaven… Mary Dalton and I stayed about an hour and made our way to the mall! We did check out some of the museums!

We enjoyed our day in Springfield and made it back to our resort in time for the kids to check out Fun Mountain. It’s almost like a Chuck E. Cheese on crack… Laser tag, bowling, go carts, Rockwall, arcade games, pool, etc. They had a blast! We had supper outside that night overlooking the mountains

After we were done, Dalton got in on the fun! He beat Jackson at AirHockey…

But lost at the race cars!

We knew that Jackson would enjoy this trip but we weren’t sure about Mary Dalton since 95% of the activities were outdoors. She  had a blast! She jumped right in there in full make up and her boutique clothes and had herself a fun time with her brother!

I think it was on Tuesday night that I realized I wish we had an extra day at I think it was on Tuesday night that I realized I wish we had an extra day at Big Cedar!
We definitely fell in love with Ozarks!
