Spring break 2021 is in the books… And it was one of the best yet! The kids and I left on Saturday to head to Miramar Beach. I have not been to the gulf in years so I was super excited to see some pretty water!
Not even gonna lie… Traffic was terrible and it took an hour and a half longer to get there. We got there and I went to the grocery store while the kids check out the property. We were so excited that Elizabeth was able to meet us!

Sunday morning was Easter and we woke up early and headed to the beach!

We spent the majority of the day there… But Jackson headed that after a couple of hours… And it was a good thing because the boy was fried!!!! The water was perfect and the weather was beautiful!

We woke up early Monday morning to head to crab Island. Thankfully, Elizabeth’s boyfriend, Nathan, I taught her how to drive a boat. We need a boat and we headed out to crab Island.

We were actually the first people there and we weren’t even sure if we were in the right spot! Our rental was from nine till one… We actually got to leave a few minutes before nine. It was a beautiful day but it was pretty chilly!

We did walk around the Sandbar and we saw so many dolphins! It was insane… Like something in a movie! It’s definitely some thing that I will do again if I go back to the gulf!!

Tuesday morning we went to the beach for a while and then we went into town to have lunch at Acme oyster House.

My babies are all grown up!!!!

Tuesday night, the kids went to an arcade and did putt putt while I stayed back at the condo and read.

These two are thick as thieves.

Jackson and Elizabeth left on Tuesday to head home after lunch. Mary Dalton, Cameron and I went to the beach and then went to Pompano Joe’s for a late lunch.

Our last night was Tuesday night and we went to Destin Commons to do some shopping and eat at a burger place that Mary Dalton saw on TikTok.

She only wanted to go to buy this milkshake… And let me tell you she drank it all.

We got home Wednesday around four and we were able to see Dalton for a little while before he left to go to Tennessee. It was definitely a busy spring break but a much much needed getaway! It seems like the most “normal“ thing we have done in so long.
