Spring break 2021 has come and gone… And it was a great one to say the least! On Thursday, Dalton went to Tennessee to go on a turkey hunt, I went to Atlanta for a girls weekend and Mary Dalton stayed home with some friends and found lots of photo opts 😉
Kari and I went to Ponce Market in ATL. I had never even heard of this place but it was super cool! It reminded me a lot of Chelsey village in New York. They had a rooftop area that is only open to people 21 and older after 5 PM on the weekends. There was a restaurant up there, carnival games, a slide, a ride or two and miniature golf. It sounds super weird but it was very eclectic and fun… Definitely something new to do!!

Meanwhile, back in Mississippi Jackson and Elizabeth went to Natchez to see Nana and pawpaw. This was Nathan‘s first trip to Natchez so they made a couple of local stops including the turning Angel. They didn’t have such a good walk the last time they visited this monument.

Saturday morning, I picked Jackson up at the Augusta airport. This was his first time lying as an unattended minor. He had a 30 minute layover in Atlanta and thankfully had no issues finding the next concourse and making his connecting flight. I wasn’t near as nervous as I thought I would be, but I was glad to have him at home! Mary Dalton went to the lake with Cameron’s family so Jackson and I went and had a late before heading home.
And now we are on the official can’t get down to summer! I think we have about five weeks left of classes and then a week of exams. Spring is always a super busy time but I’m so thankful to have some normal things going on that I’m excited. We have a spelling bee today, spring sports banquet, honors day, a beauty pageant, graduation… And our headmaster has released all Covid restrictions. It should be a great last few weeks!!!!
