This past week, both of our children were asked to be in their class representation for the spelling bee. We were excited because this was the day after spring break and we got to sleep in and sort of have an extra day off!
Jackson, Hanna, and Shelby represented the ninth grade from our school.
Marti Ann, Anay, and Mary Dalton were the 10th grade representatives.

We took 12 kids in total and the three boys were the only ones that placed. Jackson got third in his group, anay got first and Kevin also got third for the junior class.

All of my sweet students ready to compete!

The girls took the boys trophies, ribbons and certificates and took a picture as if they won.

We went to lunch before heading home.

It was a fun day and one of the reasons why for my job. Some days I want to pack up all my things and come home I never teach again…especially this year....COVID teaching is a LOT. But days like this make me remember I went into education. It was a super fun day!
