September Stuff

It’s hard to believe September is almost over. We have managed to cram some fun things into this month and are finally get a routine with school. After Mary Dalton‘s birthday brunch, I decided to do my best to have the girls over once a month for a meal. For the month of September they all spent the night after a football game and we did a little breakfast/brunch. Several of them could not calm but we had the best time with the girls that were there.

While the girls were at home enjoying brunch, the boys had a shotgun team meet. They enjoy this but I do not enjoy the fact that it’s at 7 AM on Saturdays. I think they only have one more and then the state tournament. It’s a quick season but it’s just long days.

My dear friend Jerry’s son got married a few weeks ago and Natalie and I rode together because our husbands were coming from the shotgun team meet. This girl can always make me laugh!

Mary Dalton had to get a Covid test in order to go to a concert because she is not fully vaccinated yet. She bit her daily to get it done and conned him out of lunch and going back to school… She’s a smart girl. 😊

Our kids left on Friday to go to Atlanta. I was not as nervous this time with her driving in Atlanta as I was last. They stayed in downtown Atlanta and Elizabeth met them there for three nights to attend music midtown.

Dalton and I had a great weekend at home and adjusted quickly to being empty-nesters… We had dinner at becks on Friday and we watched football all day Saturday and grilled out.

Wow these two kids were having the time of their life.They said that was the most fun they have ever had at a concert. Miley Cyrus was their favorite!

They look forward to this weekend for so long and they had the best time and made so many memories.


I am thankful that they get to do things like this! They will be talking about this weekend when they’re my age! Definitely good times!
